Nas in action in Carloforte. During the checks at the end of August, as part of the "Estate Tranquilla" operation, at a hotel on the Island of San Pietro, serious violations of the HACCP protocol and the lack of traceability of the drinking water in storage were detected.
For these irregularities, the premises used for the preparation and storage of breakfast foods were seized, including equipment, drinks (about 200 litres) and fresh and frozen foods (about 100 kg), for a total value of about 100 thousand euros.
Military checks also took place in a kiosk bar, on one of the beaches in the south of the island, where irregularities were detected in the updating of the HACCP self-control manual, sanctioned with a warning. While in a restaurant in the center, irregularities were found in the traceability of frozen fish products, for a total of about 20 kilos, for a total value of 400 euros. For these irregularities, administrative sanctions were imposed for a total of 5 thousand euros.
