A month after the tragedy on the SP 69, this morning in Fonni the Interparish Youth Center MI.LO.MA.MI was inaugurated, named after the very young Michele Coinu, Lorenzo Figus, Marco Innocenti and Michele Soddu.
The ceremony, held in the “Don Bussu” hall, was attended by the entire community, gathered for the thirtieth mass in the nearby Parish of San Giovanni Battista. In a climate of great emotion, a video was shown in memory of the four friends who died in the tragic crash, showing the logo of the Center, created by their peers after intense work alongside the parish priest Don Luciano Monni.
"The Youth Center - the promoters commented - was born from the desire to offer our children and young people a safe, welcoming place full of opportunities. A place where we don't just play, but where we learn to know each other, to compare ourselves and, above all, to grow together and cultivate those values and that sense of community that have always distinguished our country."
Also specifying how «those difficult moments taught us to stay united, support each other and find in solidarity the strength to move forward» and thus addressing a further thought to Coinu, Figus, Innocenti and Soddu: «It is to them that we want to dedicate this center with the hope that every smile, every game and every activity that will come to life here can bring a little of their spirit».
There were numerous comments on social media, where the Proloco also wanted to share a video, which retraced the commitment of the new generations: «Thanks to Don Luciano, to Michele's friends, Lorenzo, Michele and Marco and to all the people who collaborated in the creation», commented the tourist association on the sidelines of the clip that received the embrace of all of Sardinia.
