The Carabinieri of the Fonni station have reported two people believed to be responsible for the crime of conspiracy to defraud.
The investigation began following a complaint filed by the victim, a man who said he had been contacted on the Telegram messaging platform by an account called "DAD'S ADVICE TNORASHIKIN."
The so-called operator offered a tempting online job opportunity, seemingly simple and highly lucrative, with the promise of substantial daily earnings. Using this pretext, the criminals managed to gain the victim's trust, convincing her to make two bank transfers, of €50 and €150, as the initial payment needed to unlock the alleged employment opportunities.
The investigations conducted by the Carabinieri allowed them to precisely identify the account holders. Upon order of the Judicial Authority, the relevant warrants for the premises and personnel searches were issued.
The operation was carried out with the support of the Carabinieri stations responsible for the suspects' places of residence, who found and seized the prepaid cards used to receive the bank transfers.
