Paralyzed traffic on the 195 towards Pula. An elderly woman lost control of the car she was driving, going off the road just before the roundabout for the Macchiareddu industrial area.

It is not clear whether an illness or a distraction caused the accident. The woman is not in serious condition.

The recovery operations, however, created heavy traffic difficulties, with hundreds of vehicles lined up in the two-lane section of the state road. On the spot a team of the local police of Cagliari.

UPDATE: The situation slowly returned to normal shortly after 7pm.
