On Friday, June 12, FlixBus will inaugurate service in Sardinia with its first regional line, connecting the island from south to north. The new line will connect Cagliari , Sanluri , Oristano , Sassari, and Alghero , including stops at Cagliari-Elmas and Alghero-Fertilia airports. The service will operate throughout the summer.

"We will be open seven days a week, with expected benefits on multiple levels—for Sardinians departing from the Cagliari-Elmas and Alghero-Fertilia airports, who will be able to easily reach the terminal," a statement reads, "and for visitors, who will be able to travel more easily within Sardinia."

"We're bringing to the island a model that focuses on the right to mobility and the freedom to discover Sardinia's heritage efficiently and accessible to everyone. This is a goal we've dreamed of, and it's now becoming a reality thanks to the synergy with our local partners," commented Cesare Neglia , CEO of FlixBus Italy.

The company announced that with the new connections, those departing from Fertilia and Elmas airports will be able to reach the terminal every day from Cagliari, Sanluri, Oristano, Sassari, and Alghero . "For example, Alghero-Fertilia Airport can be reached from Sassari in just 35 minutes. In the same amount of time, you can reach Cagliari-Elmas airport from Sanluri."

The line will be operated by the Sassari-based company Logudoro Tours, in line with FlixBus' collaborative business model. "We are delighted to inaugurate our partnership with FlixBus on the occasion of the launch in Sardinia. We are ready to offer our experience in the sector to allow visitors this summer to fully experience the region, guaranteeing the highest levels of safety, quality, and efficiency at all times," said CEO Giampiero Canu .
