Flash mob of the residents of the historic center of Alghero , this morning, to raise awareness of the institutions on the problems of the old quarter. Many gathered in front of the Town Hall, in Piazza Porta Terra, with protest signs, some very imaginative and nice, denouncing various critical issues.

From nocturnal noise to dirt, through the presence of mice and cockroaches , to the invasion of bar and restaurant tables and the chronic shortage of parking spaces .

“There are only a few of us living in the historic center - explains Alessandra Casu, president of the Alguer Vella committee - those who chose to leave did so precisely because the more acute problems make this neighborhood less livable. We are invaded by waste that attracts rats, seagulls and cockroaches. The public space is now unlivable, invaded by tables and chairs, sometimes abusive. You can't sleep at night and no one intervenes to restore public peace".
