He had transformed some rooms of his home into a real facility for the cultivation, processing and production of hashish blocks.

A forty-five-year-old man from Sarule was arrested by officers from the Ottana police station, who during a house search seized a total of approximately 5 kilos of narcotics, including dried and shredded hemp, hashish, and approximately 40 marijuana plants.

Inside the home, investigators discovered professional equipment used for growing marijuana. One of the rooms had been converted into an artificial greenhouse, with reflective sheets positioned to better refract the light produced by the grow lights.

There were also several fans, used to stabilize temperature and humidity and promote crop growth. Another room had been converted into a laboratory for hashish production.

According to the investigators' reconstruction, coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Sandra Maria Benedetta Picicuto, the man used a homemade iron press and special rectangular molds to make the blocks. The evidence recovered allowed the operators to reconstruct what is described as a continuous production cycle, from cultivation to packaging of the substance, which, according to the investigation, was intended for sale.

During the sampling and inventory operations , marijuana seeds, small and medium-sized plants, drying inflorescences, a tobacco cutter, a precision scale, and numerous cellophane bags for packaging were found . Initial scientific analyses of the seized substance also revealed a significant concentration of the active ingredient THC.

The arrest was validated today by the investigating judge of the Nuoro Court, who ordered the man to be placed under house arrest.
