The first Plastic Free event, a complex cleanup and urban decoration operation, took place in the municipality of Muros. In collaboration with the Sassari chapter of the Italian Alpine Club, volunteers cleaned up the area of the former Bunnari Valley shooting range, removing an estimated 500 kilograms of waste.

The group scoured the area, collecting all sorts of materials, from plastic and paper to glass and cans. Thanks were extended to all the volunteers who participated in the initiative, to the landowners for their availability, and to the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) for their collaboration. Once again, the Plastic Free association pursues its goal of environmental protection, entering the most inaccessible, difficult-to-access, and critical areas due to the presence of piles of garbage and indiscriminate littering.

Activities throughout the island will continue in the coming days. Teams also intervened on Fiume Santo beach, clearing it of plastic and glass.
