Arrested twice in less than 24 hours in Villasor : first for the theft of a bicycle and an assault on a Carabinieri officer , then for escaping house arrest . The perpetrator of the incident is an unemployed thirty-year-old man already known to law enforcement. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon, when Carabinieri officers from the local station, with the support of the Sanluri Operations and Radiomobile Unit, responded to a report of a theft from a local worker. According to the reconstruction, the thirty-year-old entered the courtyard of the victim's home and stole a bicycle.
Officers located him nearby shortly thereafter. The thirty-year-old, clearly impaired, likely due to alcohol consumption, reacted to the check by insulting and pushing the Carabinieri, who suffered minor injuries. The bike was recovered and returned to its owner, while the man was arrested on charges of theft and resisting arrest. By order of the judicial authorities, he was then taken to his home under house arrest, pending a summary hearing scheduled for this morning.
During the evening , the same thirty-year-old called the emergency number 112, claiming he had been attacked by unknown individuals and had sustained injuries. When the patrol arrived, the man was found near the town cemetery, thus violating precautionary measures. After reconstructing the incident and completing the usual formalities, the arrested man was held in the Carabinieri holding cells.
