Fires, the Marghine is a brazier: "A war every day"

From Macomer to Sindia, then on to Borore and Silanus. Dozens of hectares of pastureland, Mediterranean scrub, wooded areas, and several farms were affected by several fires that broke out in the late morning, particularly in the countryside near Macomer, in the Bara area. The fires once again affected the Trencino Verde railway, burning sleepers and also affecting several farms along the provincial road to Pozzomaggiore.

On the field, to put out the fire, there are firefighters, barracelli, men and vehicles from Forestas, many volunteers and even a Canadair.

In Sindia, the situation appears more dramatic than elsewhere. Mayor Francesco Scanu expressed anger: "Every day for over a week, we've been helplessly watching these fires. Something must be done, including regarding the permits granted to so many. Most don't monitor, so they set fires and leave. It's a war." Throughout the afternoon, the sky darkened. "The flames, driven by the wind, have caused immense damage everywhere."
