Fires raging in Sardinia: two Canadairs and helicopters fight the flames

Fires in Padru and Pimentel , Canadair and regional fleet helicopters in flight.
The first fire broke out in the countryside of the Gallura town of Ludurru. A SuperPuma from the Alà dei Sardi base, a light helicopter from the Limbara base , and two Canadairs from Olbia responded to the area initially. The severity of the fire forced the deployment of a second SuperPuma (from Fenosu) and another helicopter from Farcana.
The operations are coordinated by the Padru forestry station.
Shortly after the alert, Pimentel, in the Solaris area, was raised. A helicopter from the Villasalto base also arrived there to support the ground teams, called by the firefighting coordinator at the Senorbì Forestry station.
