Fires in Sardinia: emergencies in Orune, Escolca and Bari Sardo

There are 13 fires recorded today in Sardinia and for three of these the Forestry Corps has used air vehicles as well as ground teams.

The emergencies were in Orune , in the Nuraghe Sa punta lada locality, where the helicopter that took off from the Farcana base intervened. On site, under the coordination of the Nuoro Forestry Corps Station, the following intervened: the Analysis and Use of Fire Group (GAUF) of the Nuoro Forestry Corps and three teams from the Forestas Agency from the Nuoro and Orune construction sites.

In Barisardo in the Casa Lai locality, the extinguishing was coordinated by the staff of the Olbia Forestry Corps Station assisted by the staff on board a helicopter from the CFVA base in San Cosimo. A team from the Forestas Agency from the Cardedu construction site, the firefighters from Lanusei and two teams of volunteers from the Barisardo associations worked.

Finally, in Escolca , in the San Simone area, the fire was managed under the coordination of the staff of the Forestry Corps Stations of Isili and Senorbì assisted by two helicopters from the CFVA bases of Villasalto and Sorgono. Two teams from the Forestas Agency from the Isili and Senorbì shipyards and two teams of volunteers from the Guasila and Senorbì associations intervened on site for the extinguishing operations.
