Fires in Samugheo and Bortigali, helicopters in flight

Nineteen fires broke out today in Sardinia, two of which required the intervention of the regional fleet's aircraft.

Five hectares of pasture burned in the Samugheo area , in the localities of Funtana Gutturu and Proccaggiu. Firefighting operations were coordinated by personnel from the Samugheo Forestry Corps Station, assisted by personnel from the GAUF CFVA of Oristano and those aboard the helicopter from the Fenosu base.

A team from the Forestas Agency of the Samugheo - Pranu Frocchidos construction site, the Samugheo barracelli and a team from the Oristano fire brigade intervened on site.

Firefighting operations are still underway in Bortigali, in the Su Pedrosu area, where the flames are affecting agricultural land. The firefighting operations are being coordinated by personnel from the Macomer Forestry Corps Station and a helicopter from the CFVA base in Anela. Two teams from the Forestas Agency are working on the site, one from the Borore - Macomer nursery and one from the Bolotana - Bardosu construction site, and one from the Macomer fire department.
