Fires, helicopters in action in four municipalities in Sardinia

Helicopters of the Forestry Corps in action in four municipalities of Sardinia, to tame as many fires that broke out in a few hours .

The air vehicles had to intervene in support of the ground fire fighting teams in the territory of Burgos , in that of Usuellus and then in Villasor , where - in the Cuccuru Bobboi area - about four hectares of uncultivated land went up in smoke.

Three forestry helicopters and one of the Air Force flew over the area of Riu Spanu de Porcu, in Serdiana , to tame a fire that covered an area of about 5 hectares of uncultivated land.

Overall, 9 fires were put out on the island on Wednesday 17 August 2022.
