Fires devastate Sardinia: 21 more fires, helicopters in flight

There are 21 fires that broke out today in the regional territory, hoarse ones that required, in five cases, the intervention of the regional fleet's aircraft.

In the morning, alarm in Quartucciu, in the Pill'e Matta area. Vegetation, waste and tires went up in flames : the column of smoke was clearly visible, even from a distance.

Flames also in Selegas , in the Pranu Murtas area, where the flames have spread across crop fields and uncultivated land. Helicopters from the CFVA bases of Villasalto and Sorgono are on site.

Fire also in the countryside of the Municipality of Orroli , in the Case Mottaiola area, where the flames covered a wooded area of approximately 1 hectare.

Helicopters and Super Pumas also in action in the countryside of the Municipality of Nurri, for a fire that broke out in the Grutta Sutta Scracca area. The flames covered a wooded area of about 3 hectares.

And still fires in the countryside of the Municipality of Ovodda , in the Su Norile area, with half a hectare of woodland on fire, and in the countryside of the Municipality of Ussana , in the Is Carraxius area, with extinguishing operations still underway: the flames are affecting arable land and uncultivated land.

Forestry corps, firefighters and volunteers are working to put out the fires.
