Another day of intense work for the Sardinian Forestry Corps, engaged on multiple fronts to combat several fires affecting the Oristano and Medio Campidano regions.
There are three fires in the province of Oristano on which helicopters departed from the Fenosu operational base are operating. In Siamaggiore, a fire has broken out in the Sa Nassa area. Flames are also burning in Nurachi near State Road 292 (North-West Sardinia). Another fire is active in Uras , in the Canale Acque Alte area.
The situation requires greater effort in the Guspini area, in the Medio Campidano region, where a fire is raging in the Pauli Sirbanu area. Given the size of the blaze, two helicopters from the regional fleet are operating simultaneously on the scene, having taken off from the operational bases of Fenosu and Villasalto.
L'incendio a Silius
Another fire has started in Silius , near Castello Sassai, in the province of Cagliari. A helicopter from the San Cosimo base and a Superpuma are responding. The fire has affected a wooded area. Given the worsening situation in Silius, two Canadair aircraft were deployed, one from Olbia and one from Ciampino .
