Four aircraft in action to put out a vast fire in the area of Tanca Manna, in Macomer, not far from the industrial area of Tossilo .
In support of the ground teams coordinated by the Forestry Corps, two light helicopters, a Super Puma and a Canadair stationed in Olbia, intervened on the spot, which carried out various launches, refueling in the nearby Omodeo lake, to tame the flames, fueled by the wind.
Another fire, in which a Forestry Corps helicopter intervened, broke out in the early afternoon in Usellus, in the Oristano area.
Overall, 13 fires broke out in a few hours in as many locations in Sardinia on Thursday 25 August 2022.
