After two hours of intervention, the fire brigade teams from Porto Torres, the headquarters in Sassari and from Alghero, concluded the operations to put out the large fire that developed around 1 pm, in via Pigafetta, on the roof of a warehouse in the artisan sector of the industrial area.

The building affected by the fire was used as a warehouse for paper materials for construction. The flames mainly affected the roof covering, and the intervention of the firefighters prevented the material stored inside the structure from being affected.

The cleanup operations are nearing completion. No injuries have been reported. Also on site are the State Police, Carabinieri, Porto Torres local police, 118 personnel and Arpas technicians for air quality surveys.
