Some homes were evacuated on the outskirts of Maddalena, in the Moneta-Ricciolina neighborhood, due to a fire that broke out near the houses.

People were also rescued on board the patrol boats of the Port Authority which is supporting Mayor Fabio Lai who decided to immediately evacuate the houses threatened by the fire.
On site, coordinated by the Forestry Corps, the Super Puma helicopter from the operational base of Alà dei Sardi is intervening and the arrival of a Canadair just departed from Olbia is also expected.
The streets of La Maddalena are filled with cars coming and going, the bad weather has prevented or discouraged many tourists from going to the beach, resulting in traffic jams and congestion on the city, urban and extra-urban road network.
The work of the ground teams, supported from above, made it possible to avoid the worst and the flames were put out after 2 pm. But in the meantime they had attacked a shipyard and numerous dinghies were damaged.
