Firefighting teams are deployed in force to try to put out a fire that has been raging since this morning in the Giave area (Sassari province) in the Campo Giavesu area. The blaze broke out in the countryside near buildings and a large photovoltaic system. The fire also affected a wooded area.

The Forestry Corps initially intervened with the support of two light helicopters from the Anela operating base and the Bosa operating base.

The Super Puma from the Alà dei Sardi base also arrived to reinforce the two vehicles.

As time passed, the situation worsened. To control the flames, in addition to two other light helicopters from the Sorgono and Farcana bases, two Canadair aircraft from Olbia were requested.
