Eight managers on trial accused of having created an alleged "cartel" to win tenders for fire-fighting services with helicopters in Sardinia, in violation of the rules of free competition.

The investigations were triggered after a complaint by the Antitrust Authority, which also imposed fines of millions of euros on the companies involved.
