Fire breaks out in the Butterfly House in Olmedo: butterflies safe, damage is slight

Short circuit in a warehouse of the Butterfly House in Olmedo.

A small fire attacked a storage room and the shed, but was quickly put out thanks to the timely arrival of the firefighters.

Fortunately, the damage is slight, as confirmed by the owners of the facility, and the fire did not affect the precious biosphere, which houses thousands of multi-colored butterflies of different sizes, which fly in a large greenhouse, their subtropical garden.

The flames appear to have been triggered by a short circuit in a technical room.

In 2020, however, the fire had destroyed the "Casa delle farfalle" restaurant and, at that time, the damage was considerable.
