A short circuit in a photocopier is believed to have triggered the fire alarm this afternoon at the Fonni town hall . The fire started in the hallway of the registry office, likely due to an electrical fault. Fortunately, the building was closed and no one was inside .

Mayor Daniela Falconi confirmed the incident: "It probably started from a photocopier in the registry office hallway. Luckily, there was no one there because the town hall was closed." The alarm was raised in the afternoon, and around 5:30 PM, the fire department responded to the scene, affecting some ground-floor offices. Inside, the smoke-filled rooms were extinguished, and the firefighters secured the area. The Carabinieri also responded to the scene.
