The measures implemented by the municipality of Nurallao in the fight against population decline are continuing at full speed. With the resolution published on the website amministrazionetrasparente.unionesarda.it by the Administrative Area on July 29, 2026, the local authority approved the payment of the financial contributions provided by regional law to support families with young children.
The measure, signed by the service manager, Manuela Marrocu, provides for the payment of the July 2026 monthly payment for a total of €13,600. The resources are intended to support 23 families residing in the municipality who are receiving the birth allowance .
The initiative is part of the Regional Law of March 2022, created with the specific aim of combating depopulation in small Sardinian municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants.
Regional support provides for the provision of a guaranteed monthly allowance until the child reaches the age of five: 600 euros per month for the first child and 400 euros per month for each child after the first .
An important aspect of the measure is that the contribution is paid regardless of the family's ISEE indicator, aiming to offer concrete and immediate assistance to families who choose to live and raise their children in the island's small towns.
The project's financial coverage for the current year is guaranteed by regional funds approved by the municipal administration, confirming the municipality of Nurallao's ongoing commitment to supporting parenting and the local social fabric.
