Fear on the road to Stintino: two medium voltage cables fall on the road, traffic blocked

Two power cables suddenly fell onto the road, the provincial road 57 that leads to Stintino, in the territory of Sassari. The medium voltage pylons, one of which fell to the ground and the other at man height, gave way this morning invading the entire roadway.

It happened on the stretch of road near the Fiume Santo thermoelectric power plant, where fortunately no vehicles were passing at the time . A danger averted for motorists, who alerted the police. On-site teams of Enel technicians are working to remove the cables.

In the emergency operation also the firefighters from the Porto Torres detachment, intervened to secure the area . Also on site the carabinieri and the local police for traffic.
