Fear in Valledoria, fire under the church during mass: two triggers found

Flames in the rooms below the church of Cristo Re in Valledoria.

The fire, in the parish of via Caprera, broke out around 7 pm while the celebrations of the Holy Mass were underway with several faithful present. It was the latter who alerted the 115 teams.

The Tempio firefighters intervened and, after evacuating the church, promptly put out the flames. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The carabinieri of the Valledoria company are investigating the causes, which are most likely malicious .

In fact, inside the basement rooms, used for pastoral activities, two fuses positioned in two distinct points were found . The report of the Red Helmets will clarify the nature of the fire.
