Moments of fear in Monastir , where a twenty-one-year-old resident in the CAS (Extraordinary Reception Centre) threatened and tried to attack the operators and healthcare personnel , before being stopped by the Carabinieri of the Dolianova company, who found him in possession of a knife with a 16-centimetre long blade.
According to reports, the young man attacked the staff, who were forced to barricade themselves inside the offices , in a state of severe psychophysical alteration, demanding the administration of medicines.
When the officers locked themselves in the office, the 21-year-old began violently banging on the door and making threats. At that point, the emergency number was raised, and officers arrived on the scene, detaining and arresting the young man, who was found in possession of the long knife.
The young man has now been placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities and will have to answer for the crimes of aggravated threats to a public official and illegal possession of weapons or objects capable of causing offence.
