Lorenzo Del Giudice, the 25-year-old who died last night in a road accident on the 127 bis, between Alghero and his home town, worked in the restaurant business, lived in Olmedo with his sisters and had recently lost both his parents.
The young motorcycle enthusiast was returning home after spending an evening off work aboard his Honda Hornet. He lost control on a straight stretch, just before a bend.
There were few signs on the road that could help determine the cause of the accident. However, the Highway Police investigation ruled out the involvement of other vehicles, while the hypothesis that an animal crossed the road is gaining traction .
What is certain is that Del Giudice lost control of the vehicle, crashing violently into the guardrail and a traffic signal pole. The impact was fatal; passing motorists raised the alarm, but rescue efforts were unsuccessful. The 25-year-old died instantly.
On site, in addition to the Highway Police and 118, the Fire Brigade also intervened.
