Mario Quargnenti, dean of Gallura lawyers, passed away in his home in Tempio. He had recently turned 94 and was still active, a member of the Tempio Bar Association. Having graduated from Siena in 1953, three years later he donned the toga that he would wear for 67 years.

During his long career he has assisted, among others, the singer Mia Martini and the presenter Mike Bongiorno .

His appearances in court were rare, but he still had the documents of some cases on his desk. The president of the Tempio Bar Association, Carlo Selis, remembered Mario Quargnenti as follows: "A man and a professional esteemed and respected, a point of reference." The mayor of Tempio, Gianni Addis, declared: "He was a sober and reserved person, we preserve the memory of his broad culture, not only legal, and of his profound humanity."
