The Carabinieri of the Settimo San Pietro Station arrested a 59-year-old construction entrepreneur, already known to the police.
The operation was carried out in execution of an order issued by the Ordinary Court of Cagliari - Criminal Enforcement Office, which ordered his immediate transfer to prison.
The man, originally from Cagliari, was definitively sentenced to serve a five-year prison sentence for mistreatment in the family, a crime committed between February 2015 and February 2016 in Settimo San Pietro. According to what emerged from the investigations that led to the conviction, the entrepreneur's behavior had caused serious suffering to the victim, imposing a context of oppression.
At the end of the formal procedures, the arrested man was transferred to the Uta prison, where he will serve his sentence.
