Become a detective of artifacts or explore history through music. Some of Sardinia's national museums offer special, fun initiatives to introduce families and children to cultural heritage. Cagliari, Sassari, and Porto Torres are participating in the national event "Families at the Museum." Children are free to attend.
In Cagliari, the Basilica of San Saturnino will be open on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. and will offer activities for boys and girls aged 7 to 10. Pay attention to detail! A map, clues, a basilica... it's an exciting detective experience. After a guided tour, each child will receive a map and a series of clues that will lead them to discover the basilica's architectural details. At the end of the tour, each participant will receive a detective diploma. The activity can also be done independently on Sunday, October 11, when the Basilica will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In Porto Torre, the Turritano Antiquarium is offering a music workshop for families with children ages 2 to 8, open Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. " Follow the time. Let's explore our history to the rhythm of music," featuring actor Aldo Milia. The initiative is part of the Lilliput project, "A piccoli passi nei musei."
Finally, in Sassari, the Sanna Museum will be open on Sundays from 9am to 1pm, with activities for families and children up to 11 years old. The Mission 888 initiative.
