An explosion caused by a gas leak caused a collapse in a two-storey building in via Sant'Ambrogio 10.
Two men (including a disabled person) were injured, extracted from the rubble and transferred with the 118 air ambulance: one was taken to the large burns center in Sassari, the other to San Martino in Oristano.
The strong explosion, which crumbled all the dividing walls on both floors, occurred shortly after 7.30 am, probably due to the loss of LPG from a cylinder connected to a stove.
Two teams of firefighters from the Oristano and Nuoro commandos and the Isili Carabinieri were on site. Operations to secure the building and structural checks of the adjacent homes are underway.
