Exchange and collaboration between the Inner Wheel club of Porto Torres and the club of Ajaccio . The latter is part of district 153 which, in addition to Corsica, includes the south of France, Morocco and Tunisia. In an atmosphere of festive friendship, the two entities had the opportunity to exchange views and reiterate how Inner Wheel members from all over the world are linked by common principles, including true friendship, the main foundation of our partnership.

After listening to the hymns and greetings from the two presidents, Pina Acciaro for the Porto Torres club and Monique Adamski for the Ajaccio club, the vice president Rita Sechi, creator of this contact, illustrated some of the most salient activities of the Turritano club during these 32 years of activity . The greeting from the treasurer of district 208 Eneide Muscas and the treasurer of district 153 Simone Guerrini preceded the convivial.

Following the exchange of the pennants , the gifts offered to the presidents as well as to our dear Eneide Muscas who enthusiastically participated in this very important event of our club, we moved on to the reading and exchange of the parchments with the relevant signatures, thus sealing this first meeting of ours in the desire to return the visit soon. «The proximity between our two islands which are geographically close but belong to two different nationalities», underlines Carboni, «shows how important it is to promote the international understanding that unites Inner Wheel members throughout the world».

The next day began with a guided tour of the city of Alghero, where they admired the ancient Spanish-style buildings that overlook Piazza Civica, the city's living room. The visit to Porto Torres, as always led by our vice president Rita, involved a visit to the basilica of San Gavino and its crypt.
