"A tough night, cold, rainy, and humid." The third night, forty meters above ground, in Eurallumina's silo three was the most trying for the four workers. Adding to the difficult weather conditions is the concern over the slow news from Rome. Today, Regional President Alessandra Todde will discuss the Eurallumina case with Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, on the sidelines of the meeting regarding the revenue dispute. Todde will request the release of funds essential to the operation of the Portovesme plant, after Eurallumina's assets (owned by the Russian company Rusal) were sanctioned by the Financial Security Committee.

"We hope that today," say the workers barricaded in the silo, "we can truly receive some reassurance from MIMIT and that the Ministry of Economy and Finance has made available the funds necessary for the transition period, to subsequently obtain the lifting of the sanctions which, we recall, have not been applied at Rusal's other European plants."

For the four workers on the silo and their colleagues guarding the gates, the fourth day of waiting begins.
