"We ask Minister Urso and the Ministry of Mimit to provide clarification tomorrow and that the meeting on the 10th be decisive and not just a one-off meeting." Seven days of protest at the silo, Eurallumina workers' protest continues as they await news on the release of ministerial funds to prevent the company's liquidation at the end of the year.

The workers, barricaded forty meters away, are demanding answers from the government. "Despite the 'Italians first' sentiment," says Enrico Pulisci, one of the Eurallumina workers protesting, "in two and a half years, Rusal subsidiaries have not been sanctioned elsewhere in Europe, but in Italy they have. Let's get to work and let the funds for survival and the lifting of the sanctions arrive immediately."

Numerous expressions of solidarity are arriving at the protest: everything the workers need is provided by their colleagues and families, but among all the demonstrations of solidarity, the donation from two young men from Carbonia stands out. They showed up in Portovesme with blankets, gloves, and food supplies in solidarity with the workers. "A gesture that warms the soul," the workers say, "while we spend our days in less than favorable weather conditions."
