EU fraud: Over €114,000 seized from a Mandrolisai farm

They allegedly improperly obtained European funds earmarked for rural development, for a total amount exceeding 114 thousand euros.
This is what was charged to a farm in Mandrolisai, against which the Carabinieri of the Desulo Station carried out a precautionary seizure on behalf of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, in execution of a decree issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Cagliari.
The measure is part of a complex investigation into aggravated fraud for the purpose of obtaining public funds and self-laundering, conducted with the support of the EPPO Section of the Carabinieri Investigative Unit in Rome.
According to what has emerged, the company had received non-repayable grants from the European Union for years by allegedly falsifying agricultural land ownership and management titles and declaring production activities that were not actually carried out.
The seizure involved current accounts, financial assets, and assets attributable to the company and the individuals involved.
