Problems in many homes in Southern Sardinia that were left without electricity due to the wave of bad weather over the weekend.

The blackouts began on Sunday morning, patchily, in many places. The situation then gradually returned to normal, but on Sunday evening in some towns – especially in Sulcis – the electricity went out again. The result: many families without electricity or forced, for those who have it, to rely on generators.

"There were problems with some cabins and systems due to flooding caused by bad weather and the "water bombs" that hit Southern Sardinia," Enel's press office confirmed to L'UnioneSarda.it, "but we immediately set up a task force to intervene to restore service as soon as possible. By Sunday evening the situation had returned to normal, but during the night some cabins must have still felt the effects of the bad weather and therefore there may be some inconvenience. Our task force," Enel concludes, "is therefore continuing its interventions until the problem is completely resolved."
