With the arrival of tourists for the summer season, workloads in Sardinia's hospitals have increased, to the point that medical and nursing staff are reporting "unsustainable rates."

In emergency rooms, in particular, nightmarish lines are being recorded, with waits sometimes exceeding eight hours . At the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari, for example, an average of 190 patients are treated per day. The culprit? "The collapse of community care."

The number of operations is also increasing, but at the same time , transfers to hospitals in other regions are also increasing.

But there is also the alarm for rescue helicopters, which are not enough, especially in Gallura and Baronia .
