The engines of the cargo vessel Blue Ocean A , flying the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis, a Caribbean country , on a voyage between Great Bitter Lake , Egypt, and Cartagena, Spain, failed off the south-western coast of Sardinia and the vessel became unmanageable.
The captain sent out an SOS and dropped anchor off the coast of San Pietro Island . The Carloforte Coast Guard and the Cagliari Central Command intervened on the scene. A tugboat is arriving to secure the ship , while Coast Guard helicopters are ready to evacuate the crew.
