"New Year's Eve in Castelsardo is for all budgets", reassures the councilor for Tourism and Entertainment Giuseppe Ruzzu who in these days is reaping the positive promotional effects of the choice for New Year's Eve of Elodie and Irama, two big names who will also take part in the Sanremo festival.

«I have read about crazy prices of 10 to 20 thousand euros for an apartment or villa, but this is just a strategic overpricing that some businesses such as the non-hotel sector use to stay present on Booking , the famous online booking agency, because if you say you are closed you disappear from the search engines, so they set an absurd price of a thousand or two thousand euros for a room in a B&B or 10 thousand euros for a villa just to stay visible. But in fact it is not bookable».

It is true that the call of Elodie and Irama has increased the number of reservations, but there are still rooms for two adults with prices around 300 euros and villas with prices that are easily under a thousand euros for at least two people. Councilor Ruzzu specifies: «Physiologically there is a small increase in the price of the structures, but we have offers for all budgets: 3 and 4 star hotels, a varied offer of extra structures such as holiday homes and B&Bs. The same goes for restaurants, available at different price ranges».
