An elderly man was tricked and robbed in his home by two bandits dressed as financial police officers. The attack took place on Thursday evening in the heart of Arzachena .
The bandits managed to reach the central Viale Costa Smeralda, where the victim lives. According to the little that has emerged from the investigation, the robbers showed up at the entrance to the elderly man's home and then asked to enter for a check, identifying themselves as Guardia di Finanza personnel .
The pensioner, a wealthy individual, was tricked into opening a safe containing a sum of cash . The robbers allegedly made off with approximately ten thousand euros . They also allegedly took firearms. After the robbery, the bandits fled the scene. The person attacked and robbed is in good condition and has not suffered any injuries.
