Anger transcends the excruciating pain of losing a son. This is also evident in the words of the mother of Gabriele Galici , the 18-year-old who died in the tragic scooter accident Friday night on the Poetto seafront in Quartu along with his friend and peer Filippo Corongiu .

In recent days, countless people have taken to social media to comment on the tragedy with all sorts of comments, even those who didn't know or knew nothing about the two young victims.

And this is precisely what prompted Maria Grazia Bolognesi to respond indirectly: "Shut up," she wrote in a post, "because the first ones who need to examine their consciences are adults. These kids—and I'm not just talking about my son and Filippo, but the hundreds of friends they had—are kids with values that know respect, love, and honesty. They have values that go beyond what you can imagine."

And he continues: "My son had so many wonderful plans for life; he would have enrolled in university like all his friends, both male and female. They are wonderful kids. My son is leaving me a great gift: that cursed morning was a disaster. The kids weren't running, and I know this for sure because Filippo's parents had geolocation; they weren't naive kids. You just have to keep quiet, and may the Lord never again make a mother, a brother, or a father experience such pain that can't be described or defined. We died with Gabriele and Filippo."
