The protagonist is a 29-year-old worker, arrested by the Carabinieri of the Carbonia Radiomobile on charges of resisting a public official and driving while under the influence of psychophysical alteration.
The incident began during a routine traffic control in the city center . Upon seeing the patrol and being ordered to stop, the young man driving a small car suddenly accelerated, aiming the car at a soldier, who managed to avoid the collision by moving aside at the last minute.
A chase ensued that lasted for several kilometers, ending in the hamlet of Is Gannaus, where the carabinieri managed to stop the fleeing vehicle.
The Carabinieri immediately realized the boy was drunk. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level twice over the legal limit, a finding that also led to the seizure of the driver's license and the vehicle, registered in the twenty-nine-year-old's father's name.
