It happened last night in Ussaramanna, where the carabinieri confiscated the license of a 43-year-old resident of Lunamatrona.
The man was stopped in via Marmilla, he was driving a Volkswagen Tiguan belonging to a woman who also lives in Lunamatrona. The carabinieri wanted to fine him for using the phone while driving but, given his condition, they decided to proceed with an alcohol test, which showed a rate of more than double the legal limit of 0.5 grams per litre .
Thus, the license was withdrawn, while the vehicle was entrusted to the owner. The man was also reported at liberty for driving under the influence of alcohol.
