They were caught during the night by the Carabinieri in Poetto with a mix of drugs, cash and precision scales : a 26-year-old employee from Usanna and another 25-year-old local man, unemployed and already known to the police, were arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to deal.

The incident occurred during one of the Carabinieri's many patrols in the area. The suspicious behavior of the two young men prompted the officers to investigate further, conducting a thorough search of their car and their respective homes.
The search operations were successful, allowing the Carabinieri to discover over three grams of marijuana, five doses of cocaine ready for sale, and small quantities of ketamine, heroin, and hashish . Along with the narcotics, they found and seized two precision scales, tools typically used for packaging the doses, and €100 in cash, believed to be the likely proceeds of drug dealing.
Once all the material had been seized and the formal procedures completed, the two young men were placed under house arrest at the disposal of the judicial authorities and pending the summary hearing scheduled for this morning.
