The initiative, conducted by detectives from the Mobile Squads, coordinated by the Central Operations Service, aimed to combat drug dealing and illegal possession of weapons, as well as strengthen surveillance in the most sensitive areas to prevent incidents of violence, including among minors.

The investigative effort also involved teams from the Crime Prevention Unit and other police departments. In Italy, 1,335 people were arrested, including 31 minors, and 2,358 charges were filed, including 142 minors. A total of approximately 450 kg of narcotics were seized, including 48 kg of cocaine, 379 kg of cannabinoids, and 7 kg of heroin. 111 firearms were discovered, including long-barreled ones, an assault rifle, several war weapons, and a bulletproof vest, as well as a large amount of ammunition.

The list of seizures also includes 250 bladed weapons, including box cutters, knuckle dusters, tasers, telescopic truncheons, slingshots, machetes, sabers, and axes. A total of 297,071 people were identified, 15,665 of them minors. The searches focused on city neighborhoods and near nightclubs, where drug use is highest.

In Cagliari, particular attention was paid to the red zone in the areas of Piazza del Carmine and Piazza Matteotti : nine people were arrested and two were reported, all for drug dealing, particularly hashish. Of particular significance was the seizure, almost three weeks ago, of 300 tablets of oxycodone, a highly potent opioid with devastating effects. Another person was arrested in Quartu. A total of 800 grams of hashish, 900 grams of marijuana, 10 grams of cocaine, and 125 grams of ketamine were seized.

In the Nuoro area, the activity revealed "new methods of sourcing and using narcotics, confirming the ever-evolving nature of the drug market," according to the Police Headquarters, which seized knives and sticks, as well as 1.2 kilos of cannabinoids and a small quantity of cocaine. Two people were arrested, six were charged, and three Romanians were deported.

In Oristano, particular attention was paid to drug dealing and nightlife areas: four people were reported, and half a kilo of cocaine and a kilo of marijuana were seized.

In Sassari , meanwhile, over the past few days, operations have identified more than a thousand people and made seven arrests. Fourteen people have been reported at large, and six bladed weapons and various narcotics have been seized.
