The drug packages arrived from Spain via courier, destined for ghosts. Two thirty-seven-year-olds, one from Assemini and the other from Cagliari, were arrested by the police's Flying Squad, while a twenty-six-year-old woman was charged, following an anti-drug operation triggered by a tip-off via the YouPol app: it was reported that the Assemini resident had turned his home into a drug dealing hub. Monitoring operations were thus initiated.

During the operation, the officers saw the thirty-seven-year-old leave the building and get into a car driven by another man, a man his age from Cagliari. Shortly thereafter, the two met up with a courier from a shipping company, from whom they received two packages.

This circumstance aroused the investigators' suspicions, and they decided to intervene and check both the recipients and the newly delivered packages. The first package, coming from Barcelona, was addressed to a name that was not found in the Assemini Municipal Registry Office. Inside, the officers found a package containing over 250 grams of cocaine.

The contents of the second package, sent from Madrid and also destined for a name that did not exist, were even more substantial: hidden inside were 40 blocks of hashish weighing a total of more than 4.2 kilos.

The search was then extended to the homes of the two men. In the first man's home, additional quantities of hashish and cocaine were found, as well as two precision electronic scales with traces of narcotics, and approximately €600 in cash.

A search of the second man's home also yielded material investigators believe to be related to the preparation of the drug for subsequent distribution: packaging and vacuum-sealing materials, a precision electronic scale, and €1,355 in cash, the proceeds of drug dealing.

Overall, the operation allowed the Flying Squad to seize approximately 300 grams of cocaine and 4.5 kilograms of hashish, in addition to the weighing and packaging materials and the sums of money found.

The two men were then arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

During the operation, a twenty-six-year-old woman, who was in the car at the time of the check, was also reported at large. Based on the information gathered during the investigation, no grounds for precautionary measures have been identified against her.

Further investigations are underway to reconstruct the supply channel from Spain.
