Cagliari Coast Guard personnel intervened on the Chia coast to carry out investigations into a beach resort management company, finding several irregularities.

The investigation revealed the complete absence of any authorization or permit on the part of the aforementioned company for the occupation and use of a stretch of beach measuring over 500 square meters.

The military then proceeded to immediately remove and seize all the beach equipment (over 30 umbrellas, 60 sunbeds, and 30 tables), a lifeguard tower, a wooden structure, and various other equipment.

The management company's representative was reported to the Judicial Authority for violating Article 1161 of the Navigation Code, which criminally punishes anyone who arbitrarily occupies public maritime property.

The work also made it possible to restore a stretch of beach measuring approximately 535 m2 to free use and, therefore, to the enjoyment of seafarers.

Further documentary investigations are underway, and it is possible that administrative sanctions may be imposed on the individuals involved.
