There were moments of apprehension this early afternoon for a hiker who went missing near the Bue Marino caves , in the Dorgali area, one of the most fascinating but also impervious areas of the eastern coast of Sardinia.

Around 3:15 pm, the man contacted the operations room of the Nuoro provincial fire brigade command , reporting that he had lost his way along a path in the area and was unable to find his way back.

The alarm was raised immediately, and the Drago 148 helicopter of the Sardinia Fire Brigade's Flight Department was activated, taking off from the Alghero base.

The operation was successful : the missing person, found in good health, was located and recovered quickly.
