He stalked his ex-wife with a dashcam and a knife: on these charges, a 49-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Donori Station, coordinated by the Operations Center of the Dolianova Company Command.
The alarm was raised last night when a woman from Senorbì called the emergency number 112, saying she had noticed her ex-husband following her in his car. The dispatcher, staying on the phone with the victim to reassure her and monitor her movements, instructed her to head towards the municipality of Donori, simultaneously alerting the local police station.
Near the Donori industrial area, officers were able to intercept and stop the car driven by the stalker, a forty-nine-year-old truck driver living in Ortacesus, already known to law enforcement. During the search, the Carabinieri found an 11-centimeter switchblade and a dashcam.
The man had previously been charged with stalking in 2024 and was still subject to a precautionary measure requiring him to sign in with the Judicial Police. He was ultimately arrested for stalking and illegal possession of weapons.
